After months of figuring out logistics, Kellie and I finally booked our flights.
We decided to book a non-stop flight to London Heathrow (LHR) from Chicago, IL
#ROADTRIP!!!
Kellie and I will meet up in Chicago on Wednesday, September 18 and will board American Airlines Flight 86 at 5:10 pm and will arrive in London on September 19 at approximately 6:50 am. Once we arrive, the Derby Meet-and-Greet team will pick us up and take us to Sir. Christopher Court, our home for the next three months.
Now, I bet you think classes start right away well... we have an Orientation/Welcome Week starting on September 21 that lasts through the 27. Then, classes start on September 30.
WHAT A LATE START TO THE SEMESTER!
Back home at IUPUI classes started on August 26, so we start a whole month after them.
Semesters at Derby are only 12 weeks versus 16 weeks back in the States. Boy, could I get use to this lifestyle!
As for classes, we're still not sure what courses we'll take until we're in Derby meeting with an advisor. Hopefully, I don't get stuck taking something boring or strange... but only time will tell.
Anyways, that enough for today and don't forget to subscribe to keep up-to-date on all things Justine while I'm away.
